Activities
- External Quality Assessment (EQA): Laboratory tests of TB, Malaria, HIV, and others checked for their quality in the branch and our institutions
- Laboratory Diagnostic Activities:The public health laboratory performs diagnostic activities which are not performed in other health care delivery institutions.
- Clinical Bacteriology Activities: Culture and antibiotic sensitivity tests performed for different clinical specimens/patients requested from different institutions
- Water and Food analysis:Water and food analysis performed according to the need of the regulatory process of the bureau
- Early Infants(<18 month) HIV diagnosis using DNA PCR:DNA PCR tests performed for early infants who born from HIV positive mothers across the whole region samples referred from ART hospitals and health centers
- Referral service for CD4, Hematology, and Chemistry: Provide referral linkage for ART HCs which do not have this tests
- Conducting Training on laboratory tests: Training on laboratory based tests conducted throughout the region
