Health and Health-Related Products Quality Control Authority
The Health and Health-Related Products Ontrol Authority is established to regulate health and health-related institutions and professionals within the Central Ethiopia Region. It is responsible for assessing the competency of health professionals and supporting zonal and special woreda health regulatory bodies in establishing a strong regional regulatory system.
The main objectives of the authority include:
- Ensuring the safety, quality, and wholesomeness of food and drugs through effective control measures.
- Conducting professional registration and licensing to uphold the professional and ethical competence of health professionals.
- Performing licensing and inspections to verify the competence of health and health-related institutions.
- Providing up-to-date health monitoring information to health professionals and the public to ensure the quality of health services and resources, ultimately protecting community health.
